Where Is the Love? It will be at the Fillmore Auditorium on Wednesday August 27th when the Black Eyed Peas play a show for the Creative Coalition

The Creative Coalition announced today that multi Grammy Award-winning group The Black Eyed Peas will perform at the organization’s gala to be held during the Presidential Nominating Convention in Denver. The benefit performance, presented by Target, will kick off Wednesday evening, August 27, 2008 at the Fillmore Auditorium.

The Black Eyed Peas took the world by storm in 2003 with their breakout album Elephunk. Since then the group has enjoyed unparalleled success as their 2005 album Monkey Business won Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performance and Best Rap Performance. The group has sold an estimated 27 million albums and singles worldwide.

The Creative Coalition will bring a delegation of entertainment industry leaders to the Democratic National Convention.

The Creative Coalition’s Denver delegation – led by Co-Chairs Tim Daly, Kerry Washington, Tom Fontana and Sue Kramer – will include Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Susan Sarandon, Forest Whitaker, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dana Delany, Barry Levinson, Matthew Modine, Alan Cumming, Cheryl Hines, Rachael Leigh Cook, Gloria Reuben and Wendie Malick.

In addition to hosting the Wednesday night gala, The Creative Coalition will host a series of special events and programs in Denver, including a special luncheon honoring actress Annette Bening and saluting the 16 women Senators in Congress; and other luncheon and brunch events addressing issues including: healthcare; affordable housing; and diversity.

I only know 3 Black Eyed Peas songs and already used two of them in my cheesiest fashion possible. I just can't think of anything I can use My Humps for ;)

Seeing as the show will be during the convention on Wednesday night I'm not sure I'll be able to make it. I wouldn't mind meeting Quentin Tarantino though.
